Talksyne

Voice-typed Discord chat.

Send what you say as text to Discord without sharing your live voice with anyone.

  • No live voice sharing
  • Text only in Discord
  • OBS comments

Some features are limited on phones and tablets. Open voice input and overlay settings on a PC.

Sign-in continues on discord.com. Talksyne never asks for your Discord password. This is not an official Discord site.

Voice input

Hold a key, speak, release — text lands in Discord. Nobody hears your live voice.

In-game captions

Other people's lines float on screen. The same feed works as an OBS browser source.

Discord post

Talksyne Bot sends text only. Notifications stay silent.

When it helps

Nobody receives your live voice or the noise around you. Discord only gets the words as text.

You don't want the room overheard

Family, roommates, or neighbors stay off the call. Other people only see text.

You don't want to send background noise

Keyboards, fans, AC, and street noise never go out. Talksyne does not share live audio.

You can't speak up

Late at night or in public, speak softly and still coordinate in text. You won't hear others' live voice either.

Streaming or in-game

Keep your voice and room noise off the stream. Captions can still appear on screen or in OBS.

Official community

Agree to the rules, pick a language, and that language's updates and report channels unlock.

How it works

Your microphone is transcribed on the Talksyne voice page and sent to a Discord text channel. People never hear each other's live voice.

Push-to-Talk

Speak while holding a key. Release to send text.

Always Listening

Keep listening. You choose how many seconds to chunk speech.

OBS overlay

After /join, overlay settings let you show transcription comments in OBS as a browser source. No helper app needed.

1 Block = 10 people max

This is not a subscription and does not renew. Applying another gift to the same server extends that server by one month from its current end date.

Gift

Global servers

On a paid server, turn on Global to collect each joined person's voice-page output language and post missing translations together in the same vc-chat-room-01. People do not type a language in the channel, and Talksyne does not grant roles.

Global cannot be used on Trial. Enable it only on a paid server.

Read-aloud VC

On a paid plan you can create one read-aloud voice channel per server when you add a server. After /join, use /vc join to enter. The bot reads Talksyne transcripts and ordinary messages in the paired text channel (commands such as /join are not read). Leaving the VC stops the read-aloud. The VC is server-muted by default (locked). Use /vc unlock to speak, /vc lock to mute again. Closing the voice page also leaves the VC. Use /vc quit to leave the VC only.

Read-aloud VC cannot be created on Trial. Choose it when adding a server on a paid plan.

Privacy

Raw audio is not stored on Talksyne servers. Only text is sent.

Install the Bot

Add Talksyne Bot from the dashboard. There are no start/stop commands. The bot stays online.

FAQ

Can other people hear my voice?

No. Only text reaches Discord.

Do I need a keyboard?

No. The voice page can send without typing.

Can I use multiple servers?

Yes. Buy extra slots and assign them to other servers.

How many people per Block?

Each Block covers 10 people. Buy another Block to add more.

What is Global?

A paid-server feature. Talksyne reads the output language of everyone currently joined and posts missing translations in the same vc-chat-room-01. No in-channel language command and no roles. Trial cannot use Global.

What is the read-aloud VC?

A hidden voice channel you can create with a paid server (one per server). After /join, /vc join grants access so you can hear transcripts and ordinary messages in the paired text channel (commands are not read). Leaving the VC stops the audio. The VC is server-muted by default (locked); use /vc unlock to speak. Closing the voice page also leaves the VC. Use /vc quit to leave the VC only.

Will you ask for my Discord password?

No. Talksyne is not affiliated with Discord, Inc. Login is official OAuth on discord.com only. We do not collect Discord passwords or tokens. Payments go through Stripe.

Can I show comments in OBS?

Yes. After /join, open overlay settings and copy the OBS browser-source URL. Pick font size and flow there. The helper app is not required.

Can I use Talksyne on a phone or tablet?

Some features are limited. The voice page and overlay settings need a PC browser. The OBS live overlay URL still works in streaming software.
